Showcase for the Asian metal industry – VSM at METALEX
VSM ACTIROX: Grinding at very high speeds
The largest industrial trade fair in the ASEAN region took place for the 32nd time from 21 to 24 November and attracted trade visitors from all the metal processing branches in Thailand and Asia to BITEC, the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre. VSM and Kings Brite Co., Ltd, VSM’s sales partner in Thailand, were at Stand BV31 in Hall 104, where visitors were able to find the right solution for all types of grinding task. The new abrasives in the VSM range were of particular interest, with VSM ACTIROX in the foreground. This product incorporates a new type of geometrically shaped ceramic grain that breaks down in a controlled and extremely uniform manner. This means that the grains continuously produce new sharp cutting edges and achieve maximum stock removal right from the start. "Our visitors were absolutely fascinated by the speed with with ACTIROX grinds various types of steel", reports Ms. Methawee Angkura of the VSM Representative Office Asia-Pacific. The ACTIROX AF890 fibre disc was demonstrated in the grinding cabin.
Significantly improved productivity with VSM STEARATE and VSM ILUMERON
The new VSM STEARATE Plus was also presented in the form of fibre discs. This product was specially developed for high-productivity processing of aluminium and non-ferrous metals. VSM STEARATE Plus XF733 doubles the service life and the stock removal rate, since the anti-adhesive additional layer effectively prevents chip adhesion and thus also clogging of the abrasive. This increases productivity considerably. The same applies to VSM ILUMERON, the third new product to be exhibited in Bangkok. The innovative RK700X long-term abrasive allows grinding and polishing to take place in a single processing step. This saves time and money. VSM ILUMERON stands for extremely fine surfaces for tubes, plates or sheet metal, with the highest possible gloss levels. "With our new products in particular, we were able to make headway with many potential new customers from within the country, but also from Sri Lanka and the Philippines", says Ms. Methawee Angkura, reporting on the numerous new leads.
